Today Tristan's school had a March of Dimes walk-a thon. I went to take some pictures and had a great time. The kids all made classroom signs with hand prints and foot prints. They walked through the play yards and classrooms and made about 3 laps. They even decorated the baby cribs and pushed the babies in them. Tristan raised $150.00 dollars. Thank you everyone for your help and donations.

The Ballanger's
Today I had the opportunity to photograph Holly, Nicholas and baby Karly. Karly was 1 month old today and very hungry so I was not able to get many shots of her. We are planning another photo shoot soon so look back for some more photos of the Ballanger's.
On my way over I stopped to pick up dinner for the family, lasagna, garlic bread, fruit and salad. I even picked up a ball for Nicholas, which he loved playing with.

Mosqueda Family Photo Shoot
Today I went to the beach to take some photos for the family that lives next door to us. Vanessa also babysits for us. I have to be honest that these are my best photos I have ever taken. I am finally getting comfortable with the new lens I got for my birthday back in November. These pictures were taken for their mom for Mothers day. When she looked at them she started crying she loved them so much. That made me feel great!
One big happy family!

Boys in TuTu's
I finished 2 of the tutu's I am making. The boys have had their eyes on them so I let them try them on. They would make adorable little ballerinas. Rob did not think so he was mad and said "BOYS ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO WEAR TUTU"S"!!! I think they look cute and they loved parading around the house in them.

Making TuTu's
Today Monick and Lilly came over. Monick was here to help show me how to make tutu's. It was so easy and now I have a new hobby. I can wait to show them off when I go to Florida, I am making these for gifts for my Friend's daughters and cousin's daughters. Thank you Monick for showing me how to make these adorable tutu. I will post some more pictures once they are all complete.
Lilly and Kadin kept playing in the chair. Tristan was at school.

Las Vegas
We had a GREAT time in Vegas. It was non stop partying from the time we landed to the time we left. Actually the party started in the airport bar while we were waiting to leave LAX, our flight was only 35 minutes. I must say there are some crazy people in Vegas.
We stayed at the Flamingo Hotel, I wouldn't stay there again, nice but old. Friday night we partied till 3am. Saturday got up went to the wedding, nice ceremony at the Imperial Place. Then headed to the reserved bungalows at the flamingo hotel for a lot more drinking and partying. Laura and I left around 3pm to get massages, it was so nice to be pampered, loved it! We even saw Marie Osmond signing dolls from her doll collection. Then Saturday night we walked the strip going through all the different casinos. We gambled a lot and everyone went on the roller coaster at Ny, Ny except Liz and I. I was too scared and Liz is pregnant. We watched this awesome water light show in front of the Bellagio hotel.
Talk about a small world, so as we are sitting in the Imperial Palace waiting for the wedding ceremony to start there is this girl sitting across the way from me. She looks so familiar to me like I've known her from somewhere and I can't stop looking at her trying to figure out how I know her. I told Robert and Laura I know that girl. So once we got to the bungalows I asked Casey who the girl was, (she was sitting on the brides side so Casey must know her.) Her name is Megan and she is from Florida. OMG!!!!! Megan came up and instantly we knew each other. We went to Jr. high school together in Florida, De Laura Jr. High. It was so great to see her and catch up. Turns out she lives in Long Beach with her Fiance and knows Casey because Casey is a hair stylist and Megan use to get her hair done by Casey before Casey moved to Vegas. Talk about a small world.

Packing
Today we are leaving for Las Vegas. Robert's friend Patrick is getting married to Kasey this weekend. This will be my actual "first" time to vegas. I went once when I was 13 and another time 5 years ago for a business trip, I didn't get to do anything but business meetings and seminars. I was starting to pack and Kadin was playing in my suit case. I think he wanted to go with us, sorry not this time. This is the first time we will be away from the boys. Robert's mom will be staying at our house for the weekend to watch them. Thank you Grandma Sharlene.

Water Play Table
Kadin got a water play table from Aunt Laura, Uncle James and his cousin Dylan for his birthday. (Thanks guys!) After our morning walk, (3 miles) I set up the pool and water table. It was so nice outside and I didn't want to be inside all day and I'm sure the boys didn't eirther. The boys loved it! They love, love, love water. They love taking showers and long baths, swimming and playing in the pool. I guess that's a good thing considering Robert surfs.
The pool water was so cold, they would jump in then jump right back out.

Quality Sister Time
After cleaning up the house I decided to take my sister out for lunch and some much needed quality time together. We went to the Elephant Bar for lunch then got our nails and pedicures done. We did a little shopping then headed home to hang out with the boys. It was so nice to get to spend some time with Natalie. She is my baby sister, the youngest of 4 girls and I am the oldest, we are 10 years apart but are so very much alike. I can't wait to spend more time with her in a few weeks when we go home to visit my family in Florida. I miss my family SO much!

Making a cake
It's FRIDAY!!!! Kadin's 1st birthday party is tomorrow. I have so much to do and SO little time. My little sister Natalie came into town yesterday to be here for the birthday party and to help me out. (Thank goodness).
Today we started making the surfboard birthday cake. I thought this was going to be an easy task but turned out not to be. None of us had really made a big cake like the one we made nor had we really had experience working with fondant, so every little detail came to us as we were making the cake one step at a time. Thank you to my friend Monick who came to help out also. I don't know what I would have done with out you or my sister.
Natalie is so creative, (just like me) she decorated a cake board to look like the beach with water and sand, then sprinkled brown sugar on the brown frosting to look like real sand. It turned out really good.

Private
I will be setting my blog to private so if you are interested in reading it send me your email so I can add you to my list.
Birthday Cake
Today Kadin turned 1. I went to Stater Brothers to pick up a mini cake and he got it for free, the lady said the 1st birthday cake is always free. So after dinner I put Kadin on top of the table with his mini birthday cake and have at it. He really was not into eating the cake, he was more into eating the candle and streamers than the cake. After a bit we let Tristan get some cake, he really enjoyed it more than Kadin.
Tristan was trying to feed Kadin some cake. Too cute!
HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY KADIN!
Kadin,
One year ago today at 10:49 pm you were born. A day I will never forget, the day you completed our family. I must say this year has flown by too fast for me, I can't believe you are one today. It still feels like I just had you.
I love how you follow your older brother Tristan and you look to him for guidence, I know you will be the best of friends. I love how you love to be held and you give lots of hugs, kisses and smiles. You are such a joyful and happy baby, a true blessing from god.
I am so proud to be your MOM! I look forward to the many years we have to come and the ups and downs as mother and son. I will walk beside you forever. Thank you for being who you are and who you will become. I love you!
Happy 1st Birthday Kadin!

Weight Loss
For a year now, since I had Kadin I have been trying to lose the baby weight and it's just not comming off. I have never had a problem with weight until now. I have tried a lot of dieting, shakes, clensers, you name it. I even got myself a membership to La Fitness and a personal trainer 3 times a week. I stopped going to the gym recently because everytime I leave Kadin in the child care he cries the whole time, then the other kids start crying so the child care worker has to call for me to come get him. I have a teadmill at home and try to get on it while Rob is home so he can watch the boys or I go to the track and field by my house and walk/run with my jogging stroller for about 2-3 miles. I have been trying to do an hour of cardio about 3-4 times a week. I'm done taking the OTC pills and stuff because it's just not working. I am trying to drink a gallon of water each day and I eat fairly well, lots of fruit smoothies and veggies with my dinner. My problem is just not eating. I'm trying to teach myself to eat and snack more throughout the day. So I'm thinking I might start a new blog about my weight loss journey. I will keep you posted.

1st Day of School
I have recently realized that I want to be a part time working mommy. I am so thankful that Robert owns his own company so I can work from the comfort of our home. Even if he didn't have his own company I would still want to go back to work part time. I decided it was in Tristan's best interest to go to preschool part time because the whole babysitter thing was just was not working out. I will keep Kadin at home with me, he is still at the age where I can let him play for an hour or so by his self with out needing a LOT of attention. This morning Kadin and I took Tristan to his first day at school. All week I had been telling him he was starting school on Monday. When we walked into his new class room he had a huge smile on his face. He was so excited and eager to play with the new toys and make new friends. I of course got teary eyed as I said bye. I called around noon to check on him and his teacher Ms. Juila said he was doing very well, he ate his lunch good and took his nap right away. Rob came with Kadin and I to pick up Tristan, he was excited to see us but did not want to leave, he cried all the way out to the car and on the way home. I guess that means he liked it.
Here he is checking out his new back pack. He loved wheeling it around the house.

Life
Life is too short for drama & petty things,
so laugh hard, love truly and forgive quickly.
Live while you are alive.
Tell people you love that you love them at every opportunity.
Forgive those who made youu cry.
You might not get a second time.
