Update on Kadin

In the past 4 months I have been to the doctors numerous times with the boys. The out come, each of them have had 3 ear infections in 4 months along with high fevers, colds, runny nose and coughs which are generated from the ear infections.

Today I took Kadin in for his 3rd ear infection weighing in at 18 pounds (in April at his 1 year check up he was 24 oounds). He was given a 3rd medicine called Augmenten, a strong dose and the doctor said that this dose would kill any kind of infection he had going on in his little body. If he still has a fever by Saturday to bring him back. In the last 4 months Kadin has lost 4 - 5 pounds. He is now in the red zone. He wasn't that big to begin with. I had to take out the 9 month shorts for him to wear again and re-adjust his shorts to fit him, his shirts are all big on him now. His arms and legs are so skinny. It's not like I'm starving my child he just does not have an appetite to eat. He has a follow up appointment in 3 weeks to check his weight so the doctor told me I have to fatten him up. Make him mashed potatoes loaded with butter, cheeze, sour cream. Have him eat peanut butter and eat more offten. Let me know if you have any ideas how to fatten up Kadin.

Busy, busy, busy...

Okay so I know I have not posted much lately on my family blog but I have been super busy with my photography blog, you can check it out at http://timelesskeepsakesphotography.blogspot.com/ Starting a business takes a LOT of work. Things don't happen over night.

I just got my 1st set of business cards and I l-o-v-e them! I am currently creating my website which is a process, I don't have someone doing it for me. I have all the control so it takes a lot of time especially because I am not a web designer so I don't really know what I am doing but I am learning it all on my own. As soon as my website goes live I will be sure to list the link. Besides starting my own business I still have my husbands company to run and maintain from home. I love being busy but there is defianly not enough time in the day to get it all done. Wish me luck!

Happy 4th of July

This year we had a nice and quiet fourth of July at home. The boys swam in the pool all day and played in the front yard until it was time for fireworks. They loved the sparklers a little too much and both burned there lips because the sparkler got to close to their mouth. I attempted to take firework pictures so I read about how to take them and changed all my setting on my camera. Boy was that a difficult process but I managed to get some really good photos.

Last Night in Florida

Tonight we are staying at the Hyatt in the Orlando Airport. Our flight leaves at 7:25 am and we would have to get up and leave Melbourne by 5am so we thought it would be easier staying at the airport. The hotel is so nice, the service is wonderful. We are excited to get back to Cali but I'm sad to leave my family and friends. I'm sure it will be a long time before we go back to Florida for vacation. We did have a great time and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Today my cousin Heather came over with her husband Mike and their daughter Addison. Addison is 2 months older than Kadin. We just hung out and talked, I have not seen my cousin Heather in a very long time.

More Rain

For the past few days it has rained everyday.

Our wonderful vacation has turned into a rainy vacation.

The boys wanted to go outside and play in the rain. The street was filling up with so much water so Rob put the boy's boats in the gutter so they could watch them go down the street.

Brevard Zoo

Today we went to the Brevard County Zoo in Melbounre. They had a kiddie water park and the boys loved it. My cousin Heidi came with her daughter Jillian and her mom, my Aunt Debbie also joined us. We watched the zoo keepers feed the fish, we tried to feed the giraffes but they were not hungry then we got rained on again.

Kennedy Space Center

Today we went to Kennedy Space Center. I had not been since I was in middle school, we would go every year for field trips. It was a rainy day so we did not take the 3 hour bus tour to the launch pad. Next time we will make sure to go on a good day so we can take the tour. We went to the gift shop and bought some astronaut ice cream, a snow globe for our collection and had the smashed pennies with designs on them for the boys.

Scar Face

After the beach we came home and jumped in my mom's pool for a little bit. Then Rob gave the boys a shower before nap time. Kadin fell in the shower and hit his forehead on the marble step in the shower. Poor baby, hope it doesn't leave a bad scar.

Beach Day

Today we went to Pelican Beach with Nichole and her daughter Hailey. We tried to make sand castles but Tristan and Kadin kept knocking them down. The weather was perfect and the water felt great. After about and hour and a half the dark clouds started rolling in with thunder and lightening so we had to go. It rained on our way home.

Goodwill/Thrift Shopping

My mom and Sisters recently started thrift shopping. I went with them for the first time and had so much fun looking through other peoples treasures. My mom has a list of Jame Patterson books she is looking for, for my step dad and my sister is looking for Nicholas Sparks books. I want to start an old camera collection and found my very first camera for $2.99. I also was looking for Dr. Susse books and books on photography. It was a lot of fun and I plan to go thrift shopping when I get back at home.

Margarita Monday's

My sister Alishia and her boyfriend usually go to the Azteca Mexican resturant on Monday nights for the margaritas. A bunch of us went and had dinner and lots of drinks. We had so much fun, the food was okay, not as good as the mexican food you get in Cali. It was so nice to be with my family and friends, I really miss being home.

Swimming

Today we went back over to Carol and Darrin's house for some swimming. My dad does not live in Melbourne anymore, he lives in Naples so when he comes to Melbourne he stays at Carol and Darrin's house. My dad and Suzanne will be leaving tomorrow to go back to Naples so we wanted to spend some time with them before they leave. It was a nice day for some subs by the pool. Suzanne got a bubble wand and Tristan and Kadin loved trying to catch the bubbles.

Tristan & Kadin's Birthday Party

Today we had a construction theme birthday party for Tristan and Kadin. We had so much fun hanging out with family and friends. The kids went swimming, we had Dustin's BBQ cater the party so no one had to cook. My sister Alishia's boyfriend Charles wanted to cook and made some yummy BBQ chicken on the grill, it went well with the rest of the BBQ food. It was a nice birthday party. Thank you everyone for coming to help us celebrate the boy's birthdays.
