Tristan & Kadin's Birthday Party

Today we had a construction theme birthday party for Tristan and Kadin. We had so much fun hanging out with family and friends. The kids went swimming, we had Dustin's BBQ cater the party so no one had to cook. My sister Alishia's boyfriend Charles wanted to cook and made some yummy BBQ chicken on the grill, it went well with the rest of the BBQ food. It was a nice birthday party. Thank you everyone for coming to help us celebrate the boy's birthdays.

Dump Truck Cake

My very talented sister Alishia decided to make Tristan and Kadin's birthday party cake. I did the construction truck theme party with hard hats and lots of trucks. I found a picture of a dump truck cake and Alishia said she could make it. About a month ago she made a practice cake so when the day came to make it for the party she would know what she was doing. The cake turned out AWESOME!!! Better than I expected, not that I doubted my sister but for a cake beginner she did a great job. Alishia I think you found a new talent... making cakes.

Pool Party!

After my parents renewed their vows we headed over to Suzanne's good friend Carol and Darrin's house for a pool party. The weather was nice, a little hot and humid but was perfect for going in the pool. We all hung out, went swimming and ate lots of good food.

Cakes!

My sisters made the cakes for my dad's and stepmom's wedding vow renewal. They did a really great job and they were so delicious.

Something traditional, 2 layer vanilla cake with the happy couple's initials on it.
My parents love fish and bright colors so this was the perfect cake to make, very easy and fun. This one was chocolate, my dads favorite. Great job on the cakes sisters!

Wedding Vow Renewal

16 years ago my dad married Suzanne who became my stepmom. My parents decided to renew their vows while we (my 4 sisters and I) were all home. They got married at Suzanne's mothers house on the river in an old historic house that Suzanne grew up in. So they decided to renew their vows at the same place where they got married 16 years ago. It was a nice ceremony joined by lots of family and friends. Congratulations Dad and Suzanne!

Happy 2nd Birthday Tristan!

Tristan,
You were born 2 years ago today. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. You are growing up to be such a wonderful little man. You are so independent and you want to do everything your self with no help. It feels like you are growing up too fast. Before I know it it will be your first day of Kindergarten.
You are so fun and loving and smart. Everyday you amaze me.
You are an amazing big brother to Kadin, you play well together, you look out for him and are you are going to be the best of friends.

Today is your day so enjoy it and have a wonderful 2nd birthday.

Love always, Mommy

Grandma's House

We are here... finally. What a long flight. It's 8:30 am and we just got to my mom's house. I did not sleep at all on the plane, I am so tired! The nice gentleman next to Rob on the plane offered to move back a seat to the empty seat giving rob his seat and the empty next to him so Kadin could sleep in it. That made things easier. The boys slept for about 3 1/2 hours then were cranky the rest of the hour flight. We got out rental car then drove an hour to Melbourne where my mom and step dad are now living, they recently moved to this new house back in November so this is the first time I have seen or been to it.

Tristan's 2nd Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Tristan's 2nd birthday at his school. I did the Cars theme, made confetti cupcakes, brought Little Ceasers pizza and had a pull string pinyata. Rob was able to come home from work early and join me. It was a lot of fun and Tristan's class mates enjoyed the mini birthday party.

More Tutu's

I am on a roll! I love making these tutu's. I made some for Tristan's classroom. The little girls love to play dress up but have no tutu's so I made some for them. They absoutly loved them. I even got some orders from the teachers to make some for their daughters.

Memorial Day

Today we set up the pool and bounce house and had some friends over. It was a gloomy day but the sun did come out eventually. We ordered pizza and I made yummy brownies. Thanks everyone for celebrating Memorial Day with us!

TuTu's

Since Monick showed me how to make tutu's I have been making them like crazy. Here are my first ones I made for my family and friends back in Florida. They are so cute, makes me wish I had a girl to dress up. Looks like I found a new hobby. Thanks Monick!
