Playroom

FINALLY!!!!! The boys have a playroom, a very big one. I finally talked Rob into taking down the pool table we had set up in the back room. We never played it and the boys were always bumping their heads on it. Now they have a giant play room. It's still in the making but I'm planning on making it into a learning room also. I'm going to cut out the letters of the alaphabet and numbers to post on the walls. It will be a lot easier to keep the house cleaned if all their toys and such are all in one room instead of spread out all through the house.

I did the room in blue and green. I bought the furniture and decorating stuff all from Ikea. I love that store I think it's my new favorite store besides Target. I still need to get an armorior so I can put the T.V and radio away in it, Tristan is always pulling the speakers down and Kadin is always chewing on the wires, (not good). I also still need to take down all of the old picture frames, they just don't go with the play room any more and maybe add some color to the walls.

Gerdey's Park

Today we walked to the park by our house for the first time. I didn't know it was even there until my friend Rosalind told me. She lives in the apartments right before the park. It was about a mile walk there, nice day out. Rob took Tristan in his red buggy and I took Kadin in the stroller. I would have taken Kadin in his red buggy but I could tell he was tired and would need a nap soon. The boys had a lot of fun playing. They made a new friend named Ethan, Rosalind's son, he will be two in March. We played for an hour and a half then Kadin was ready for his nap so it was time to leave, Tristan cried the whole way home. I'm so glad to have found a park so close to home, now I can take the boys all the time.

No more crib

Tristan is no longer sleeping in his crib. He has a toddler bed now and loves it! The only problem is I can't seem to get him to take a nap in it. The first day we put the bed in his room he took a nap in it but the past three days neirther Rob or I can get him to take a nap. We tried to put him back in the crib just for nap time and he jumped out three times. So needless to say he has gone to bed at 7:00 pm the past three nights because he is so tired.

No more high chair

For some reason lately Tristan does not want to eat in his high chair. He wants to sit at the table and eat like a big boy. Other times he wants to sit on daddy's lap or eat while he is playing. In other words he runs around the house playing and comes to the kitchen for a bite then back to playing. Hey at least he's eating this week.

Potty Training

Tristan is starting to show signs he is ready to use the big potty. He takes off his diaper a lot and says pee while running to the bathroom. He loves to sit on his potty, most of the time he plays with the towels or flips the lid. He will even pee on comand if you tell he to go pee pee. Rob had Tristan on his potty and he wasn't going so he took Tristan off the potty and went to change Kadin's diaper. He did not put Tristan's diaper on right away (bad mistake) so Tristan went into Rob's closet, shut the door and started pooping. It was the funniest thing. I guess he just wanted his privacy.
